RARE GREEK CHALCIDIAN TINNED BRONZE HELMET - Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A tinned bronze Chalcidian helmet with a high bowl, a projecting nose guard, almond-shaped eye openings, and a pair of cheek pieces attached on hinges. A raised median ridge runs over the crown to the front, and the lower edge is drawn out at the back into a flared neck guard. At the apex is a square quadripartite attachment plate form Plume.
