LIFE-SIZE ROMAN MARBLE TORSO OF YOUNG DIONYSUS - Ca. AD 250 - 350. A marble torso of young Dionysus carved with a broad chest, a narrow waist, and well-modelled thighs, the weight set on the right leg. The abdomen is lightly rounded, with a recessed navel, and locks of hair fall onto the shoulders at the front. The back is smoothly finished, with the spine lightly marked above the rounded buttocks.
