RARE ROMAN LEGIONARY IRON PUGIO - Ca. AD 1 - 300. An iron pugio with a waisted blade tapering to a sharp point and raised midrib, set above a straight guard and a cylindrical grip with a central bulb, terminating in a flattened, rounded pommel, together with an iron scabbard fitted with paired suspension rings at the sides and a chape terminating in a disc-shaped finial.
