BYZANTINE GOLD CROSS PENDANT WITH LAPIS LAZULI INLAYS AND CENTRAL RED GARNET CABOCHON - Ca. AD 600. A gold cross pendant with four triangular arms, each set with a lapis lazuli inlay framed by plain gold edges. A circular gold collet at the centre is set with a red garnet cabochon and enclosed by a beaded border. A hinged suspension loop is attached at the apex.
