FRAMED CERAMIC OVAL TILE (Hand Painted) Signed By Mr Peter Graves.
(Peter and Marie began painting on fine bone china at Coalport China Ltd in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. For five years they painted in the Prestige Art department, working on many of Coalport’s best pieces which were sold all over the world. Leaving Coalport in 1980 they were invited to set up the hand painting department at Staffordshire Enamels where they practised their craft for a further 23 years, working on copper enamel boxes. Then onto Moorcroft Enamels, designing and painting one off pieces, also finding time to demonstrate their craft to visitors from all over the world at Gladstone Pottery Museum, in Longton, for 30 years. Most recently they have designed and produced, mainly one off, pieces for Elliot Hall Enamels.
Commissions have included presentation pieces for Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret, President Carter of the United States of America, and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.)
