A Elizabeth II Birmingham sterling silver salver by Barker Ellis Silver Co 1970 475g - A sterling silver salver of circular form featuring a shaped Chippendale style border with shell and scroll moulded edges. The central surface bears a presentation inscription reading: To Stan and Pat Swaddle from Harry and Jo on the occasion of their Silver Wedding June 2nd 1945-1970. The item stands on three short scroll feet. The piece is fully hallmarked on the upper surface with the maker mark E.B. & S.S. Ltd for Barker Ellis Silver Co Ltd, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter V for 1970. A separate capital N is stamped to the right of the hallmark sequence. Dimensions and weight not recorded.
