Mamod SP2 Stationary Live Steam Engine with Original Box - A Mamod SP2 stationary live steam engine featuring a horizontal brass boiler mounted on a pressed steel base painted in red. The engine assembly includes a chrome-plated steel housing with a single-acting oscillating cylinder that drives a die-cast metal spoked flywheel. A black die-cast chimney is positioned at the rear. The boiler is fitted with a safety valve and a water level sight glass at one end. A black and silver adhesive safety label on the base reads WATCH WATER LEVEL. / WASSERSTAND / BEACHTEN. The front of the red base bears a Mamod MADE IN ENGLAND label. The chimney is embossed with vertical lettering reading M A M O D. The item is accompanied by its original pictorial cardboard box which features the Mamod logo, STEAM ENGINE SP 2, a Union Jack Buy British emblem, and N.A.T.S. award wreaths for the years 1970, 1971, and 1972.
