A Vintage Cloisonne Enamel Playing Card Trinket Box mini 5cm height - A rectangular hinged metal box, the lid decorated in cloisonne enamel with a stylised mirrored representation of the Queen of Diamonds. The figure is depicted in a palette of cobalt blue, iron red, white, and yellow against a dark blue ground, framed by a beaded gilt metal border. The sides are embellished with a continuous band of ruyi-head scrolls in yellow, lavender, and green against a dark blue ground. The interior and base are finished with a turquoise counter-enamel coating. The base metal is gilded brass or copper. No maker’s marks or signatures are present. Length: 50 - 60 mm.
