Two ceramic items comprising a vase by Moorcroft 24cm and an egg-shaped salt/pepper shaker - Ther vase is of ovoid baluster form with pronounced horizontal throwing ribs, a short neck, and a thick, rolled rim. It is finished in a pale green celadon-style glaze featuring soft, diffused copper red blushes and occasional oxblood splashes. The base features a hand-painted underglaze signature in dark blue-green script for William Moorcroft positioned, alongside a faint, partially impressed rectangular stamp The accompanying ceramic salt/pepper shaker is of ovoid egg form with seven circular perforations at the top and a separate, removable screw-in ceramic base plug, finished in a simple white glaze.
