The piece is finished in a vibrant orange-red high-fired flambé glaze with subtle tonal variations and light mottling. The base bears an underglaze maker's mark featuring a lion and crown device above the name Doulton and England, accompanied by a small hand-painted black mark. Diameter 20cm.
