A Northumbria Police Uniform Grouping Including A Christys And Gaunt Custodian Helmet And Duty Cape - A Northumbria Police uniform grouping comprising a Christys and Gaunt & Co custodian helmet, a wool duty cape, and a pair of boxed cufflinks. The custodian helmet is constructed from a black wool-felt covered composite body with a silver-toned metal comb and a Northumbria Police helmet plate. The plate consists of a Brunswick star with a central circular garter surrounding a heraldic shield, surmounted by a St Edward’s Crown. The interior foam crown is embossed with Christys and Gaunt & Co maker's marks and a handwritten number 1553. The duty cape is made from heavyweight black wool with a stand collar. It is fastened by two bronzed-metal lion-head bosses joined by a three-link chain and plain black plastic buttons. The pair of cufflinks by Valiant Heraldics Ltd are finished in multi-coloured enamel on silver-toned star bases, presented in a blue velvet-effect box.
