A Painted Moulded Plaster Canny Tyneside Lucky Wooden Dolly Souvenir Figurine - A painted moulded plaster souvenir figurine depicting a traditional North Shields Lucky Wooden Dolly. The figure is modelled as a Tyneside fishwife wearing a black hooded cloak and a mottled orange and white apron, carrying a wicker fish creel on her back. The figure stands on an integral rectangular plinth base decorated with a wood-grain effect. The front of the base is incised with the text CANNY TYNESIDE. The reverse of the base features the incised inscription LUCKY WOODEN DOLLY FAMED AMONG SEAMEN THE SEVEN SEAS OVER. The figurine is finished with a glossy paint throughout.
