Attributed to an Imperial German WWI M16 Stahlhelm Steel Helmet Eisenhüttenwerke Thale ET64 - An Imperial German M16 Stahlhelm steel helmet manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale. The heavy steel shell features stepped ventilation lugs to either side, designed for the attachment of a Stirnpanzer brow plate. The interior features original chinstrap mounting brackets riveted to the skirt and three liner-retaining rivets. The interior left skirt is stamped with the manufacturer mark and size ET64. A heating lot number 791 is stamped to the interior crown rim. The exterior retains sections of original field-grey paint.
