The Protector Lamp and Lighting Co Ltd Type 6 Eccles Miner's Flame Safety Lamp - A professional flame safety lamp produced by The Protector Lamp and Lighting Co Ltd of Eccles. This Type 6 re-lighter model is designed for use by mine officials, featuring a cylindrical steel bonnet and a cast brass base with five vertical pillars. The clear glass cylinder is housed within the cage assembly. The lamp incorporates an internal flint ignition system, indicated by the cross-shaped key point on the base, and a lead seal locking mechanism for safety. A circular brass identification plate is riveted to the bonnet, embossed with the maker's details and Approval No. B / 28. The top is fitted with a swivelling iron hook.
