A set of seven 20th century Japanese okimono figurines of the Shichifukujin - A set of seven Japanese okimono figurines depicting the Shichifukujin or Seven Lucky Gods of Japanese mythology. The set comprises Hotei with an exposed belly holding a fan, Benzaiten playing a biwa, Ebisu with a fishing rod and basket, Bishamonten in armour with a spear and pagoda, Daikokuten standing on rice bales with a mallet, Fukurokuju with an elongated cranium and staff, and Jurojin with a long beard and staff. The figures are mounted on integral bases carved to resemble rockwork. The undersides of the bases show remnants of red felt padding. No legible maker's marks or signatures are present.
