A Group of Original Second World War British Military Campaign Medals - A group of seven British military campaign medals from the Second World War. The collection includes a bronze six-pointed Africa Star, featuring the royal monogram GRI VI surmounted by a crown within a circular band inscribed THE AFRICA STAR. It is suspended from a sand-coloured ribbon with a central red stripe and narrow stripes of dark blue and light blue. Two bronze six-pointed Pacific Stars are present, each featuring the royal monogram GRI VI surmounted by a crown within a circular band inscribed THE PACIFIC STAR. These are suspended from ribbons with stripes of dark green, yellow, light blue, dark blue, and red. Two circular cupro-nickel 1939-1945 War Medals feature the left-facing profile of King George VI and a legend reading GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX ET INDIAE IMP:. These are suspended from ribbons with equal stripes of blue, white, and red. Two circular cupro-nickel Defence Medals feature the left-facing profile of King George VI and a legend reading GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:. These are suspended from ribbons of green with a flame-coloured orange centre and narrow black stripes. No naming is visible on the reverse of the stars or the rims of the circular medals. The items are unmounted and housed in individual clear plastic protective sleeves.
