Three British Masonic Steward charity jewels, 1962, 1975 and 1979, by Marples & Beasley and Toye, Kenning & Spencer - A trio of British Masonic Steward charity jewels, each contained within its original manufacturer-marked presentation box. The first jewel, dated 1962, is for the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI). It comprises a maroon silk ribbon mounted with a metal lion passant, suspended from a black enamelled bar reading STEWARD. The lower metal badge is shaped as a tower above a shield with red and gold vertical bars, inscribed RMBI 1962. It is housed in a cream cardboard box with a blue printed label for Marples & Beasley Limited, New John Street West, Birmingham. The second jewel, dated 1975, is for the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls (RMIG) Northumberland Festival. It features a white silk ribbon with a running hound mount, suspended from a blue enamelled bar reading STEWARD. The central enamelled badge depicts two seahorses supporting a diamond shield with a castle motif, inscribed 1975 NORTHUMBERLAND RMIG. This item is contained in a white cardboard box with a blue printed label for Toye, Kenning & Spencer Limited, Warstone Lane, Birmingham. The third jewel, dated 1979, is for the RMBI. It consists of a maroon silk ribbon suspended from a maroon enamelled bar reading STEWARD. The circular metal badge features a central shield divided per pale with three crowns and three lions, inscribed R.M.B.I 1979. It is housed in a cream cardboard box with a black printed label for Marples & Beasley Ltd, South Road, Hockley, Birmingham.
