A Murphy U582 tabletop valve radio - A mid-century tabletop mains receiver radio manufactured by Murphy Radio Ltd. The unit features a rectangular wooden cabinet finished in a dark brown veneer with an asymmetrical design. The front face is dominated by an L-shaped baffle covered in a cream perforated material, with the lower control section finished in a grey textured coating. A horizontal glass tuning dial is positioned in the lower right, calibrated for VHF (88-100 MHz), Medium, and Long wavebands. The dial displays numerous European station locations including London, North, Third, Light, and AFN. Below the dial are four white plastic push-buttons for Off, Long, Med, and VHF, flanked by two black ribbed control knobs.
