Bidspirit auction | William Mellor (Barnsley 1851-1931) oil

William Mellor (Barnsley 1851-1931) oil on artist board ”On the Wharfe, near Bemsley, Yorks” (inscribed verso in original hand), signed lower left corner, in original gilt frame. Please note - the painting is in superb, clean condition, having been behind glass since framing. Please note - Mellor wrote ”On the Wharfe near Bemsley” - he probably meant BEAMSLEY which is just east of Skipton and is on the river Wharfe near Bolton Abbey, an area Mellor often painted.
