AN ISLAMIC SILVER SIGNET RING FEATURING AN ENGRAVED AGATE PLAQUE WITH CALLIGRAPHIC INSCRIPTION. - An Islamic signet ring, likely of Persian or Middle Eastern origin, crafted from silver. The ring is set with an oval-cut translucent light grey agate plaque, bezel-set within a fluted and scalloped border. The stone is hand-engraved with an intricate calligraphic intaglio in Arabic script, which includes the names of the Panjtan: Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hassan, and Hussein. The shoulders of the ring are heavily decorated with cast vertical ribbing and feature openwork teardrop-shaped apertures, tapering down to a plain band.
