AN ISLAMIC SILVER AND INSCRIBED CARNELIAN SIGNET RING. - A signet ring featuring a rectangular, flat-topped carnelian tablet. The stone is hand-engraved with an Islamic inscription in Arabic calligraphy reading Tawakkaltu 'ala Allah, which translates as I have placed my trust in God. The calligraphy is framed by decorative floral scrollwork and dot motifs. The carnelian is bezel-set into a broad silver-toned metal gallery. The shoulders and the sides of the bezel feature a distinctive deep-ribbed or fluted design.
