A LARGE ISLAMIC RECTANGULAR INSCRIBED RED CARNELIAN CALLIGRAPHIC PLAQUE OF THE AHL AL-BAYT. - This rectangular Islamic calligraphic plaque is carved from a vibrant red carnelian stone, often referred to in the Islamic tradition as aqiq. The obverse features a central field of Arabic calligraphy, highlighted in white, set within a continuous stylised foliate border. The inscription commemorates the Five Holy Ones of Shia Islam, known as the Ahl al-Bayt: Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan, and Husayn. The word Allah is positioned at the top centre within the border. The reverse of the stone displays natural agate banding with characteristic concentric eye patterns and varying shades of red and orange colour.  Approximately 8.5 x 6.6cm
