AN OTTOMAN MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID DAGGER HILT. - An Ottoman mother-of-pearl inlaid hilt, likely for a dagger or small sword such as a shula or jambiya. The curved, L-shaped grip is decorated with an intricate mosaic of mother-of-pearl shell sections. Each individual section is secured to the core by small brass pins. The bulbous pommel features shaped shell pieces arranged in a radiating rosette pattern, which transitions into vertical rectangular strips along the main body of the grip.  L: Approximately 14.7cm
