A ROMAN BLOWN GLASS BOTTLE WITH APPLIED TRAILING, CIRCA 7TH CENTURY. - An ancient glass vessel, likely of Roman or Early Islamic origin. The bottle is free-blown from a translucent base glass, featuring a globular, rounded body that tapers to a short, cylindrical neck with an irregular flared rim. The primary decorative element consists of a series of horizontal applied glass trails or ribs wound around the body, creating a textured, spiralled effect. The surface exhibits significant weathering and mineralization consistent with long-term burial, resulting in a dense silvery and multicoloured iridescence. Areas of dark, earth-toned encrustation and oxidation are visible across the exterior.  H: Approximately 8.6cm
