OTTOMAN SCHOOL, 'CALLIGRAPHIC COMPOSITION ON A SKELETONISED LEAF' (SIGNED)., 'TATN EPRAK'. ATTRIBUTED TO HAMED. - An Ottoman calligraphic composition, 19th century, featuring an Arabic inscription executed in gilt on a skeletonised leaf. The inscription, rendered in a complex Thuluth script, appears to be a religious invocation or verse. The support is a natural leaf, likely from a Ficus religiosa tree, which has undergone a process to remove the parenchyma, leaving only the intricate vascular vein structure. A smaller calligraphic signature or artist's seal is visible at the lower left of the central composition. The leaf is mounted against a black background to provide high contrast for the delicate organic support and gold lettering. Approximately 29.3 x 24.3cm
