IBN BADRAN, ABD AL-QADIR. AL-JUZ' AL-THANI MIN DHAYL TARIKH MADINAT DIMASHQ. DAMASCUS, 1346 AH - A handwritten Arabic manuscript volume comprising the second part of Al-Juz' al-Thani min Dhayl Tarikh Madinat Dimashq (The Second Part of the Supplement to the History of the City of Damascus). The work is a compilation by the Syrian scholar Abd al-Qadir ibn Ahmad ibn Badran al-Dumani al-Dimashqi al-Hanbali (1846–1927). The volume is bound in a small quarto format in contemporary brown morocco leather, featuring traditional blind-stamped decorations including a central mandorla medallion and corner ornaments. The interior text is written in a clear and consistent Naskh hand on cream-coloured paper, with red ink employed for headings and proper names. The title page identifies the work and author, while the colophon at the end of the volume records that the manuscript was completed in Damascus on 10 Dhu al-Qi'dah, 1346 AH . The manuscript contains significant marginalia throughout, including several extended notes in the outer margins of the early pages. Approximately 27.3 x 18cm
