MANNER OF AHMAD NIRIZI (PERSIAN, FL. 1682-1739), 'ILLUMINATED CALLIGRAPHIC PANEL FEATURING VERSES FROM SURAH AN-NISA' - This is an illuminated Islamic calligraphic panel executed in gouache, ink, and gold leaf on paper, featuring verses from the Quran, Surah An-Nisa (4:143-147). The composition is structured in horizontal registers, with large lines of blue and red script at the top and bottom flanking a central rectangular panel containing thirteen lines of smaller black Naskh script. The text is encased in an intricate illuminated border consisting of dense floral and geometric patterns in gold, blue, and red. Stylised floral finials extend from the border into the cream-coloured margins. Approximately 41 x 30cm
