AHMED MOUSTAFA, EGYPTIAN, B. 1943, 'CALLIGRAPHIC COMPOSITION' (SIGNED). - A framed contemporary Arabic calligraphic work on paper, executed in coloured inks and gouache. The composition features a complex, layered arrangement of script; the background consists of a repetitive grid of verses from Surah Al-Ikhlas written in green and gold ink, overlaid with a dynamic, large-scale calligraphic composition in dark red and yellow script.
