MAZHAR ALI KHAN (19TH CENTURY), JAMA MASJID, DELHI, A COMPANY SCHOOL WATERCOLOUR. - This 19th-century watercolour and bodycolour architectural drawing depicts the Jama Masjid in Delhi, executed in the Company School style. The work illustrates the mosque's characteristic domes and minarets with fine linear detail, featuring the central courtyard and ablution pool in the foreground. It is executed on paper and presented within a decorative blue paper mount embellished with a repeating white and red floral trellis pattern. The painting bears two inscriptions in Urdu script: the lower left corner reads Mazhar Ali Khan, identifying the artist, while the lower right reads Naqsha-i Jami Masjid Delhi.  Approximately 40 x 32cm
