AN OTTOMAN ISLAMIC CALLIGRAPHIC PANEL WITH FLORAL ILLUMINATION, DATED 1303 AH. - An Islamic calligraphic panel executed in ink and opaque pigments on paper. The central composition features a complex arrangement of interlaced Thuluth script, formed into a decorative vertical stack with the word Allah at the summit. The central text panel is enclosed within a wide illuminated border, or tezhip, showcasing a repeating pattern of stylized flowers in shades of red, blue, and ochre, connected by scrolling green foliate vines. The entire composition is set within multiple narrow gold-painted borders. A signature and the Hijri date 1303 (1885/1886 AD) are visible at the lower centre of the calligraphic arrangement.
