A PREDYNASTIC EGYPTIAN STONE LUG-HANDLED VESSEL, CIRCA 3000 B.C. - The piece is fashioned from a hard, dark stone, possibly basalt or diorite, featuring a compressed globular body and a wide, flat everted rim. It is flanked by two small, horizontally oriented lug handles, each pierced with a single hole for suspension. The surface exhibits a weathered, mottled appearance with a brownish-grey patina and significant evidence of mineral deposits and pitting consistent with burial.  H: Approximately 8.5cm
