A ROMAN CARVED STONE FOOT WITH LION MASK DECORATION, CIRCA 1ST-3RD CENTURY A.D. - A Roman carved stone furniture fitting in the form of a stylised foot, richly ornamented with a lion-mask terminal, scrolling foliate motifs, concentric roundel decoration and tassel-like details beneath a collar at the ankle. The front is carved with pronounced toes, while the sides display elaborate vegetal ornament rendered in low relief. H: Approximately 19cm L: Approximately 27cm
