AN INDO-PERSIAN ALL-STEEL KHANJAR WITH ZOOMORPHIC HORSE-HEAD HILT, 18TH-19TH CENTURY. - An Indo-Persian dagger, known as a khanjar, of all-steel construction. The hilt features a zoomorphic pommel cast in the form of a horse's head, showing stylised details of the bridle and mane. The grip is integral to the hilt and decorated with raised horizontal bands. The forged steel blade has a recurved profile, being single-edged for the majority of its length and tapering to a double-edged point at the tip. L: Approximately 27.5cm
