A QAJAR ENGRAVED BRASS BEGGARS BOWL KASHKUL 19TH CENTURY. - A Persian kashkul or beggars bowl of traditional boat-shaped form. The vessel is made of brass or a similar copper alloy, intricately chased and engraved across the entire surface with a darkened ground. The exterior body features a wide horizontal band of calligraphic script in Naskh or Thuluth style, likely containing religious verses or poetry, set between registers of stylised foliate scrolls. The upper face is decorated with a dense millefleurs floral pattern surrounding a teardrop-shaped opening. The underside continues the floral motif, arranged around a central pointed-oval cartouche.
