China, Ming dynasty, early 17th century
Circular section with the rim modeled in ogives, the exterior of the wall also modeled in relief, the upper surface with a scene of a frog and a butterfly amidst rocks and flowers, enclosed within a band of ten round panels, each with a composition of objects or plants.
