David Barrow (b.1959), 'Quick change' artist, signed, titled and signed by Dean Parrish on verso, oil on hessian, 37 x 47cm.; 14.5 x 18.5in. * This painting shows a typical scene at the famous Wigan Casino dance hall. The title refers to the records being brought in, swapped and played for the Mod Northern Soul Scene. The painting is very special as it is signed on the back by Dean Parrish, who was the most popular and greatest of the recording artists who made records for the Northern Soul scene, albeit that he was an American.
