Charle' Verneau "Affiches" French Poster/Lithograph
Antique French poster by Charle' (Charles) Verneau. Features a French officer holding the hand of a crying woman and is inscribed "Charle' Verneau, Affiches, Paris". Is extremely well done and appears to be from the 1880's. Has a 20c+2/10 French poster stamp at the top right. Is backed on linen and has considerable loss/restoration throughout the entire poster, especially at the bottom. Measures approx. 80" tall x 38 1/2" wide.
