Royal Dux Bohemia Porcelain Figural Planter with Boys and Piglets - This porcelain figural vessel or planter is a product of the Royal Dux Bohemia factory. The group depicts two young boys dressed in traditional Alpine-style clothing, featuring shorts with suspenders accented by fine gilded scrollwork. They stand beside a hollowed-out birch-bark-style log that serves as the vessel. Two small piglets are modeled at the base of the structure. The piece is finished in a matte glaze with a palette of muted greens, tans, and pinks. The base features a raised pink triangular porcelain appliqué mark with the words ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA surrounding a central letter E. To the left of the triangle is a hand-painted mark in a reddish-brown color reading 41.
