The instrument features an 8x magnification with 30mm objective lenses. The body is constructed of metal with a textured black leatherette covering. The right prism plate is marked 8 X 30mm, COATED OPTICS, Field of View, 131yds at 1000yds. The left prism plate is marked Boots ADMIRAL and JAPAN. The top hinge cap includes an interpupillary distance scale with visible increments at 60 and 70, while the bottom hinge cap is stamped No. 5885. Manufacturer codes J-E21 and J-B117 are present on the bottom of the bridge chassis. The binoculars are equipped with a central focus wheel and a diopter adjustment ring on the right eyepiece.
