A Collection of Vintage Woodworking Hand Planes Including Stanley and Record Models - This collection includes several vintage woodworking hand planes featuring various metal-bodied bench planes and one wooden-bodied plane. Specific items identified through visible markings include a metal smoothing plane with a blue-painted cast-iron body and red-finished lever cap, both featuring the Record brand name in raised relief. One Stanley No. 4 smoothing plane is present, featuring an orange-red lever cap, a cast-iron base marked 4 at the toe, and an iron stamped Tungsten Vanadium Steel Made in England. Another metal bench plane features a red-finished lever cap marked Stanley. Also included is a metal bench plane marked No 10 at the toe, featuring a lever cap with a rectangular logo containing the letters P and M. A small black metal block plane with a wooden front knob is marked No. on the side casting. The collection is rounded out by a traditional wooden bench plane, likely beech, with a steel iron and wooden wedge; an impressed maker mark is visible on the iron but is not clearly legible. The metal planes are constructed of cast iron and steel with wooden or composite handles and knobs. The wooden plane is made of hardwood with a steel cutting iron.
