Flanking this central section are vertical rectangular panels containing braided knotwork and stylized scrolling foliate and paisley motifs. The broad rim is decorated with a continuous scrolling vine border interspersed with sections of diagonal hatching. Four rounded corner tabs are accented with small, circular floral punches. Hand-punched characters are visible in the central field, though they do not form a legible word or name.
