A Thirteen Piece Foley English Bone China Floral Tea Service - This thirteen piece bone china tea service was manufactured by E. Brain and Company Limited under the Foley trade name. Each piece is decorated with a multicolored transfer-printed floral bouquet pattern featuring pink roses, purple tulips, and yellow and blue accent flowers. The forms are characterized by scalloped edges and gold-gilt rims, with additional gilding applied to the handles and feet. The underside of the pieces bears a black printed factory mark showing a lion passant above an interlocking EB monogram, which is flanked by the numbers 18 and 50. Below the monogram is the text FOLEY BONE CHINA and MADE IN ENGLAND. Small hand-painted gilder marks in brown are also present on the bases. The set consists of five footed teacups with loop handles, six saucers with scalloped edges, one square serving plate with molded handles and scalloped edges, and one footed cream jug.
