A Large Collection of Denby Arabesque Pattern Stoneware Tableware and Matching Flatware - This extensive collection features Denby Arabesque stoneware, a pattern designed by Gill Pemberton in 1962. The pieces are constructed from dark brown stoneware with a high-fired glaze and feature hand-painted and stenciled geometric decoration in ochre and tan tones centering on a reddish-orange circular motif. The assortment includes dinner plates, side plates, soup and cereal bowls, teacups and saucers, coffee mugs, lidded teapots, coffee pots, lidded casserole dishes of varying sizes, vegetable tureens, a milk jug, a lidded sugar bowl, and salt and pepper shakers. The lot is accompanied by a large group of matching stainless steel flatware, including knives, forks, and spoons, fitted with composite handles decorated with a circular pattern mirroring the ceramic design. The base of the ceramic items features a factory backstamp with a stylized lowercase n logo within a rounded square, the word Denby, and England.
