Moorcroft Pottery Cornflower Pattern Trial Waisted Vase Dated 2012 - A contemporary Moorcroft earthenware vase of ovoid, waisted form featuring two integral loop handles at the rim. The piece is decorated in a stylized Art Nouveau floral pattern, identified as a Cornflower variant, executed with the factory signature tube-lining technique. The hand-painted design features shades of cornflower blue, magenta, and sage green within cream-colored panels, set against a deep navy blue ground. The base is marked with the green stamped factory mark MOORCROFT MADE IN STOKE-ON-TRENT ENGLAND, alongside a copyright symbol and a small trefoil symbol. It also bears the hand-painted monogram KW and the inscription Trial 5.11.12, indicating its status as a test piece produced on November 5, 2012. The item is accompanied by its original dark blue Moorcroft presentation box with gold-foil lettering.
