A Pair of Chinese or Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Bronze Dishes - A pair of shallow bronze dishes featuring cloisonne enamel decoration. The interior of each dish is decorated with three stylized birds with pink and blue plumage, set against a mottled teal green ground and interspersed with pink floral blossoms. The center of each dish features a circular medallion with a blue diaper pattern, and the inner rim is finished with a geometric border. The undersides of the dishes have a textured green surface. One dish features handwritten ink markings on the base, including the alphanumeric sequence 7/A and a horizontal line of cursive characters in an East Asian script.
