French Model 1926 Adrian Steel Infantry Helmet Shell - This is a French military Model 1926 Adrian helmet, the successor to the World War I Model 1915. This specimen is constructed from a single stamped piece of manganese steel forming the bowl and visors, with a separate steel crest riveted to the crown. Affixed to the front is a circular metal badge embossed with a flaming grenade, which is the traditional insignia of the French Infantry. The interior of the shell features a circular pattern of ventilation holes at the crown and four metal clips designed to secure a leather liner. No maker marks, size stamps, or factory codes are visible on the interior or exterior surfaces. A blue plastic zip tie is attached to one of the interior liner clips.
