A Pair of Booths Jacobean Pattern Silicon China Vases - A pair of glazed earthenware vases produced by Booths of Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, in the Jacobean pattern. The set comprises two distinct forms: one cylindrical vase with a short flared neck and one octagonal trumpet-shaped vase. The decoration features a vibrant, dense floral arrangement of pink peonies and orange blossoms with scrolling green foliage set against a dark cobalt blue ground. This pattern is transfer-printed and finished with hand-painted enamel highlights. The vases are further embellished with light blue geometric borders and gilded bands. The underside of the base is marked with the blue printed manufacturer mark reading Booths, Silicon China, England, along with the pattern name Jacobean in stylized script. A small hand-painted red mark 88 and a faint incised mark 1/2 are also present on the base.
