Imperial Chemical Industries Limited Curtiss and Harvey Dragon Brand 50 Pound Gunpowder Crate - A vintage wooden shipping crate designed for the transport of 50 pounds of gunpowder. The lid features black stenciled markings including GUNPOWDER and N.S. across the top. The central graphic consists of a circular trade mark depicting a griffin or dragon figure, with the border reading CURTISS & HARVEY LONDON and TRADE MARK. This logo is flanked by the words DRAGON BRAND. The vertical left side is marked CURTISS & HARVEY while the vertical right side is marked IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LIMITED. The bottom portion is stenciled 50 LB. NET. The crate is constructed of light-colored wood with finger-jointed corners and iron fasteners.
