Royal Crown Derby Farmyard Cockerel Limited Edition Bone China Paperweight - A Royal Crown Derby English bone china paperweight in the form of a stylized cockerel, titled Farmyard Cockerel. The piece is decorated in a traditional Imari-style palette featuring cobalt blue, iron red, and vibrant green. It is extensively hand-finished with 22 karat gold gilding, including fine line work detailing the feathers, comb, and wattle. The underside of the base features several marks: a red printed title Farmyard Cockerel above Limited Edition of 5000, and a hand-painted edition number 1583 in gold. The red Royal Crown Derby backstamp is present, alongside the Roman numeral date code MMIII, indicating a manufacture date of 2003. The center of the base contains a gold-colored metal stopper embossed with Royal Crown Derby Made in England, which signifies the piece is of first quality. Additional hand-painted decorator marks include a red letter P and a small blue mark.
