A Pair of Neoclassical Style Patinated Bronze and Marble Urns - A pair of decorative lidded urns, or cassollettes, crafted in the Neoclassical style with dark patinated bronze bodies. Each urn features a fluted lid topped by a foliate-form finial. The shoulders of the urns are decorated with cast acanthus leaf relief patterns. The tapered stems rest on circular stepped bases, which are mounted onto square marble plinths. The plinths are constructed from sienna-type marble with characteristic yellow-ochre tones and dark veining, finished with a dark marble border at the bottom. Each piece stands on four small, circular metal bun feet. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are present.
